Ayers demonstrated extraordinary musical talent from an early age, beginning with the piano at the age of five and progressing to instruments such as steel guitar, flute, trumpet, and drums before mastering the vibraphone. His distinct approach to the instrument revolutionized its function in music, shifting away from traditional jazz and into experimental, spacey territory. Throughout his career, Ayers has worked with many renowned musicians, including Herbie Mann and contemporary hip-hop acts such as Kanye West.

Ayer’s music, which combined velvety soul, jazz, and tight funk, was innovative. The 2025 Glastonbury Festival will feature a star-studded lineup, with US pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo and British band The 1975 headlining. Joining them on the main stage will be Charli XCX, who will headline the second stage on June 28. Other notable performances include debut shows by Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young, and rising rap star Doechii, who will headline the West Holts stage. The festival will also feature returning favorites like Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, and Scissor Sisters.

The 1975, who have previously headlined major festivals such as Reading and Leeds, will make their Glastonbury debut, combining dance-rock with experimental sounds and daring performances. Matty Healy, known for his daring actions, recently garnered news for his protest against Malaysia’s anti-LGBT legislation. Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo, the second-youngest solo headliner in Glastonbury history, performs pop-punk hits including “Good 4 U” and “Driver’s License” on the Pyramid Stage. Charli XCX, known for her electronic, club-infused pop, will also perform her high-energy act on the Other Stage.

The Libertines, Jorja Smith, The Prodigy, and Raye will all perform before Neil Young on Saturday night. Rodrigo expressed her joy on Instagram, adding that headlining Glastonbury had been a long-held dream. The event takes place in Somerset, England, from June 25 to 29.

Season 3 of Invincible will officially feature the much anticipated Invincible War, which was hinted at in the previous episode’s post-credits scene. This comics-inspired event pits the world’s heroes against villainous alternate-dimension versions of Mark Grayson unleashed by Angstrom Levy. The sixth episode’s tag stated that Levy, voiced by Sterling K. Brown, is still alive and has evolved into a more powerful version of himself. Using his reality-hopping talents, he assembles a group of murderous Invincibles to cause havoc around the world. A sneak peek from episode 7, titled “What Have I Done?” shows these variants targeting crucial areas, including the high-security prison guarded by Mark (Steven Yeun) and Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs).

The episode is explosive and action-packed, pushing the boundaries of the show’s typical superhero drama. As the variations attack towns around the world, Mark faces the ultimate challenge: stopping an army of twisted versions of himself. The Mohawk Invincible stands out for his harsh, belligerent demeanor, which provides a darker, comedic juxtaposition to the other characters’ deadly seriousness.

Despite some pacing flaws and obvious outcomes, the episode is a thrilling, violent spectacle that represents Invincible at its best. With a fast-paced plot and emotionally powerful scenes, it elevates the series to new heights. As the end approaches, the stakes mount, and Mark’s showdown with Conquest, the Viltrumite supervisor, promises even greater carnage. The season’s penultimate episode provides an unparalleled peek of the real scope of the devastation caused by Angstrom Levy’s invasion.

Rob Lowe recently spoke out against the reduction of sex scenes in modern movies, which he has witnessed in his 60 years. On the February 27 episode of his Literally! Podcast, Lowe and Kristin Davis talked about how intimate sequences are no longer a film staple. Lowe initiated the topic by musing on his 1988 film Masquerade, which, despite good reviews, was disregarded by Hollywood as “too sexy.” Lowe enjoyed working with Kim Cattrall on the picture, but studios thought it too excessive, despite its attractiveness.

Davis, who featured in Sex and the City, disagreed with Lowe, referring to Nicole Kidman’s latest picture Babygirl, which had numerous sexual scenes. Lowe recognized that the film was “pretty hot,” but he also disagreed with the notion that performers like Kidman are praised for performing sex scenes. He contended that such situations were expected back then, and not considered a daring gesture. “In our day, it was required,” Lowe stated. “There’s the page 73 rule,” alluding to the frequent practice of writing a sex scene for the second act of a film.

While Kidman described the intimacy in Babygirl as requiring trust and vulnerability, Lowe’s perspective reflects a bygone era where such scenes were integral to the narrative, not exceptional.

Amber Rose recently spoke about Kanye West’s effect on his partners’ dress choices, including herself, Kim Kardashian, and Bianca Censori.
