Even smaller artists benefit from features such as the “hype” function, which promotes videos by creators with fewer than 500,000 subscribers in specific markets. YouTube’s unique approach, combined with its $50 billion in revenue from adverts and subscriptions, is cementing its position as a dominant player in the digital entertainment industry.

Warner Bros. announced big revisions to its film release calendar on Wednesday, including a new date for the highly anticipated Paul Thomas Anderson feature starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film, formally titled One Battle After Another, is a cryptic American murder thriller. The film will now be released on September 26 instead of August 8, which was originally scheduled. According to sources close to the project, the modest delay will allow the studio to equip U.S. theaters with VistaVision projection equipment to fulfill Anderson’s vision. Moving the release date to late September also brings the film closer to awards season, which is a peak time for auteur-driven films with commercial appeal.

In other news, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride, starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley, has been rescheduled from September to March 6, 2026. The steampunk adaptation of the Frankenstein myth will now avoid competing with Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein flick. Meanwhile, Zach Cregger’s horror epic Weapons, starring Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, has been pushed from January 2026 to August 8, 2025, indicating the studio’s faith in the film.

Other shifts include Flowervale Street, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, which moves from March 2026 to August 14, 2026, and Warner Bros. Animation’s The Cat in the Hat, now scheduled for February 27, 2025, to avoid competition with Pixar’s Hoppers.

Christina Hendricks had only 30 hours to prepare for her role as Cynthia Mans, Natalia Grace’s third adoptive mother, in Good American Family. The 49-year-old actress stated in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly that the procedure was “fast and furious.” “I had an opportunity to read the scripts and watch The Curious Case of Natalia Grace on Investigation Discovery to gather as much information as possible,” Hendricks told me. She also worked with a dialect coach to make her portrayal distinct from Natalia’s former adoptive parents, the Barnetts.

Hendricks admitted she was originally unfamiliar with the plot but rapidly grew captivated after getting cast. “I turned to my husband and said, ‘This is this wild script,’ and he was already familiar with it,” she remembered. Natalia Grace, 21, was born in Ukraine and adopted at the age of seven by Kristine and Michael Barnett. Following a sequence of dramatic events, the Barnetts were charged with negligence for abandoning her. Grace was later verified to be eight years old, contradicting the Barnetts’ assertion that she was an adult disguised as a child.

In the series, Hendricks appears in the second half as Mans, who took in Grace during the Barnetts’ court troubles. She focused on her collaboration with Imogen Faith Reid, who had already established her rhythm playing Natalia. “It was really nice to work with her, and I was able to react to her fantastic performance,” she remarked. Despite the grim subject matter, Hendricks found moments of levity with Reid, remarking that they had nice chuckles between parts.

Good American Family provided Hendricks with a rare opportunity to explore a totally different position. “I’ve never played a character like this,” she added, underlining the diversity of her recent films, which include a comedy (Small Town, Big Story) and a Victorian drama (The Buccaneers).
