The teaser features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati, with Mohanlal commanding attention as Kirata. Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, is based on a Hindu mythology about Kannappa, a dedicated Shiva follower. The preview is packed with dramatic action sequences, such as rural bow-and-arrow skirmishes, horseback riding, and high-octane warfare, making for an exciting ride for spectators. The film also has Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Preity Mukhundhan, and others in prominent parts.

Park Hyung Sik’s Buried Hearts (aka Treasure Island) has beaten Seo Kang Joon’s Undercover High School in the TV ratings fight. Beginning on February 21, both K-dramas broadcast over the same Friday-Saturday time slot, resulting in a fierce race. Buried Hearts, a revenge drama, outperformed Undercover High School, a spy action-comedy, with an average nationwide rating of 6.1%, compared to 5.6% when it debuted.

As the series progressed, both shows’ viewership progressively increased. On February 28, Undercover High School Episode 3 had an amazing 6.6% rating, while Buried Hearts Episode 3 received an even higher 8.8%. The drama’s rising trend continued, with Buried Hearts reaching double digits with an average rating of 10.2% for Episode 4 on March 1, making it the week’s most-watched miniseries.

While Undercover High School set a new high with an 8.3% rating for its fourth episode, Buried Hearts continues to dominate, gaining global interest, notably from India. Buried Hearts has captivated the audience with its intriguing storyline and captivating acting, making it one of the most talked-about Korean dramas this season.

Along with it, Demon City, a revenge drama, created ripples, propelling Netflix to the forefront of the action genre. Though both films grew in popularity, they were unable to dethrone Despicable Me 4, which held the top slot.
